I started my career 8 years ago as a model booker, talent manager for bloggers, and in artist relations for musicians, and then quickly found myself in the broader marketing and comms space. My work ended up leaning heavily into social media, digital strategy and content creation, and I grew my skills working freelance for small businesses like For Film’s Sake, startups in the tech industry like Ovira, and femme empowerment-focused public figures and coaches.
Today, I work full-time as a Content Design Specialist for Australia’s biggest telco, and freelance as a copywriter for local agencies and medium businesses. But that’s not really enough, is it?
Babie Club is my pioneer project; an alternative online community and IRL underground party series in Melbourne/Naarm. Focusing on internet subcultures and niches in gaming, music and art, Babie Club is a home for all the weebs and weirdos.
Through running Babie Club, working with Loner Online over two years, growing a Twitch community, developing Emptycore and doing 1:1 PR work with local videographers, A/V techs, designers, producers, artists and more, I’m excited to share my knowledge and help uplift fellow creatives with everything I’ve learned along the way.
Driven by a desire to platform and support young artists and professionals in their work, I’m excited to offer a more formalised approach to assisting Australian brands and creatives as Illicit Empress ♡
